The Musina Local Municipality, in collaboration with the UN Women South Africa cohort and supported by the De Beers Group, successfully hosted a landmark graduation and certification ceremony to celebrate local business owners who completed the #EntreprenHER 2026 business development program.
Grounded in the International Labour Organization’s Start & Improve Your Business (SIYB) framework, this impactful initiative honored 140 micro-entrepreneurs who completed intensive skills training designed to equip them with practical knowledge, strategic financial insights, and business management acumen.
By providing these critical foundational skills, the multi-stakeholder partnership directly aims to foster sustainable economic growth, alleviate unemployment, and empower vulnerable populations to transition their ventures into thriving, job-creating enterprises. This certification milestone underlines the municipality’s ongoing commitment to local economic development and highlights the resilience and capability of local community leaders in driving regional prosperity.
