
The Mayor of Musina, Cllr Nkhanedzeni Godfery Mawela visited Manenzhe Tribal Council lately. The purpose of the visit was to discuss service delivery challenges facing villages under the Manenzhe Tribal Council, and to continue paving ways to improve service delivery and fostering good relations with traditional leaders.
Mayor Mawela said the Municipality will continue engaging with community stakeholders, including traditional leaders, in ensuring that the new villages under the Manenzhe dynasty, are registered and form part of the municipality’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP).
In response, Thovhele Mmbangiseni Manenzhe appreciated the good relationship between his Council and Musina Municipality. He applauded the solar energy project at Madimbo and Mabvete, saying: “We would also appreciate solar energy projects like those in villages that fall under Manenzhe Tribal Council.”
Thovhele Manenzhe hinted that the Manenzhe Development Trust has plans to drill three boreholes in Bale, Lwathudwa and Mulungufhala to contribute towards providing local communities with water.
