Musina Local Municipality wish to notify bidders that the following amendments should be effected on Tender invitation notice number 4/2019-2020 which was previously advertised on Tuesday 22 October 2019 in The Citizen Publication.
Amendments for both Tender 02 – 2019/20 and Tender 03 – 2019/20 are as follows:
1. For Supply and delivery of Protective clothing only locally produced or manufactured textile clothing, leather and footwear from local raw material or input with a minimum threshold of 100% for local content will be considered. If the raw material or input to be used for a specific item is not available locally bidders should obtain written authorization from the DTI should they be a need to import such raw material or input, and a copy of authorization letter must be submitted together with the bid document at the closing date and time of the bid. The exchange rate to be used for the calculation of local production and content must be the exchange rate published by the South African Reserve Bank at 12h00 on the date of advertisement. Only bureau of standard (SABS) approved technical specification no 1286:2011 must be used to calculated local content.
2. Evaluation criteria – (a) Evaluation in terms of 100% minimum threshold for local production and content. (b) 80/20 and functionality, Minimum threshold for functionality is 70 points
3. Closing date extended to 22 November 2019 at 11:00 am
