As part of involving stakeholders and the public in government decision-making processes, the Musina Local Municipality hosted their Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Representative Forum meetings at Madimbo Community Hall and Nancefield Multipurpose Centre respectively.

During both meetings, community members raised several issues, including infrastructure maintenance, and they also requested the municipality to come up with strategies of maintaining existing infrastructure.

“We are pleading with the Municipality to prioritise youth employment in all projects and opportunities that take place in Musina.” Hinted Sheriff Sakasa, the Deputy Chairperson of Musina Youth Council.

As part of the resolutions, Ward Committee members were requested to convene meetings in their respective wards and share what transpired during the meeting. They were also urged to go and give progress reports on the projects implemented in their wards.

In responding to water supply challenges in Musina, Cllr Anderson Mudunungu from the Vhembe District Municipality said the District Municipality is aware of the situation and they are doing their best to make sure the water supply challenges are addressed.
