Together with senior officials from De Beers Venetia Mine, we attended the Sod Turning Ceremony for the construction of the Renaissance High School Science Lab which is funded by De Beers Group. The event marks the commencement of the construction for the state-of-the-art science facility which encapsulates De Beers’ commitment to education and community engagement. We thank the De Beers group for their endless support in local community development.
A ceremony was held to officially hand over of the newly completed Gateway Primary School sports ground. This project, aimed at fostering a vibrant sports culture among local learners, has been funded by the De Beers Group. The ceremony was attended by amongst others, management from De Beers Venetia Mine, school management team from Gateway Primary School and local stakeholder representatives. #Improving people’s lives.

Through her initiative, Muofhe Farming and Projects, Muofhe Matsheketsheke (27) of Hagumbu village in the Niani area, is realizing her dream in the farming industry. She has created three permanent jobs for local community members who were formally unemployed. She also employs between 20 and 50 seasonal workers on various occasions. “I started small and sold my products to the locals and saved money for use in my farming activities.
