Riding with dedication at heart, a cyclist whose journey is not only fuelled by kilometres covered a distance of 4 546km from Cape Town to Musina. His welcome ceremony was held at Musina Municipality upon arrival.
The purpose of his cycling journey is to promote a cycling culture and raising awareness against substance abuse.
Through every turn of the wheel, Timothy Ramadwa carries a message of hope, resilience and the power of coming together to break the silence surrounding addiction and substance abuse.
Upon arrival in Musina Ramadwa said: “I am grateful for the love and support I always receive at Musina Local Municipality. I cycled through nine provinces on my journey and I am happy that I arrived in Musina safely. I am truly honoured by your support and whish to return to Musina again next year with the objective of raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse to school children.”
Ramadwa also added that he wishes that the community can view cycling not only as a mode of transport but as a sport that can be turned into a successful career.
