Musina Municipality Communications Unit successfully held their quarterly Communicator’s Forum meeting. The forum provides communicators with a space to share insights, explore best practices and address challenges, shaping the communications profession while fostering collaboration with other communicators and stakeholders.
Understanding how an organisation works is one of the greatest tools for fostering trust and collective service delivery. Musina Local Municipality advanced their Communicator’s Forum engagement by crafting presentations about understanding municipal account statements, environmental awareness and wrapped up with an insightful IEC presentation on understanding by-elections.
Dalsie Tshikota from Musina Municipality Finance Department said it is important for consumers to make arrangements to service their debts. She added: “When paying municipal account that is in arrears, it is important to pay the current amount and also service the balance that is in arrears as this helps you see a noticeable change in your account, unlike only paying the current account and not servicing the balance that is in arrears.”
Musina Local Municipality sadly lost a ward councillor lately. As of paramount importance, Isaiah Bopape from the IEC explained to members of the forum how the process of by-elections will unfold in Ward 2.
Finally, Asakundwi Makuya, from Musina Municipality Community Services Department provided a roadmap on their clean up and environmental awareness campaigns.
