A total of 250 learners at Niani Secondary School, Hamanenzhe, received new school shoes.  The donation was made possible through the partnership between Musina Municipality and ABSA Bank.  The partnership aims to ensure that learners get the necessary support to attend school with confidence and dignity.

In addition, Musina Mayor, Cllr Nkhanedzeni Godfrey Mawela presented calculators to deserving Grade 12 learners. The calculators form part of a donation made to the Mayor’s Office by De Beers Venetia Mine earlier this year, aimed at supporting academic excellence and improving educational outcomes in the Musina municipal area.

Speaking at the event, Cllr Mawela thanked ABSA and called on local businesses to support learners. He said the initiative reflects the Municipality’s commitment to investing in education and empowering learners.

ABSA’s Relationship Executive, Ncane Mahlangu, said the bank is committed to giving back to the community, not just banking.

The Principal of Niani Secondary School, Mr MJ Netshisaulu thanked Musina Municipality, ABSA and De Beers Venetia Mine for their kind-hearted gesture.
