Musina Municipality came to the aid of a Gumela family after their house burnt down in the early hours Tuesday 28 July 2026.
Local Ward 07 Councillor, Eliot Makhado, who represented Musina Mayor, Cllr Nkhanedzeni Godfrey Mawela, said it is the responsibility of the Municipality to help those in need during difficult times.
Cllr Makhado added: “Fortunately, no life was lost during the fire incident. Besides merely comforting them, we have donated blankets and food parcels to the affected family. ”
He also thanked the SANDF members stationed at Gumela for their quick response in extinguishing the fire.
Family member, Takalani Precious Ṋenzhelele thanked the Municipality and the SANDF for their quick assistance.
The cause of the fire is under investigation while the Municipal Disaster Management Team continues to give support to the affected family.
